Message	This sounds like an electrical problem to me. I can't believe that the engine would overheat that quickly given how massive the engine is. Can you get a remote reading hand-held infrared gauge to confirm the temp at the radiator? Any flooded car is almost guaranteed to have electrical problems. I would suspect something electrical is feeding-back thru the temp gauge system.
